SRE / Observability Specialist (m/f/d) - Spain

We are looking for a proactive, security-driven DevOps Engineer who will bring experience and expertise to improve our observability and monitoring stack for our team in Spain.

As SRE / Observability Specialist we are expecting a team player, looking to learn from their peers and bring new ideas to step up team strength and deliverables.

Our tech stack

Infra: Terraform, Azure cloud, Kubernetes, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, Opsgenie, ELK
App: Kafka, Spring Boot (java 11), Keycloak, Kong Gateway

Your Role and Responsibilities

In the role of monitoring specialist, you will work within the TechOps team to design and deliver the next generation of observability for our solutions. 

  • Driving our observability, taking ownership, and helping us to reach the next level

  • Create & maintain monitoring dashboards for engineers and customers/

  • Mentor Engineers to embrace observability and develop them.

  • Improve our production code through observability.

  • Collaborate with project team members and cross-functional product teams

  • Participate in on-call rotation, to support infrastructure and application incidents.

Your profile

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Have an automation mindset

  • Experience at least one cloud provider (Azure, Google, AWS)

  • Experience building observability within the cloud

  • Experience with Kubernetes

  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana in Production

  • Experience with Kong Observability

  • 3 years of SRE experience

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Experience with Azure

  • Experience with Datadog, Spark, NewRelic

  • Experience with Helm/Kustomize

  • Scripting skills (any language)

  • Team player

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
